Stephan began his career in market research in 1995 as an interviewer, obtaining a good grounding in fieldwork and interviewing while supporting his studies.
Stephan graduated from the University of Applied Sciences in Munich with an MBA. He joined Schmiedl Marktforschung (now Schlesinger Group Germany) on completion of his studies in 1999 as Assistant to the former owner and CEO. In 2003, he was promoted to Managing Director of Schmiedl Marktforschung Munich.
Stephan has extensive experience managing quantitative and qualitative research studies in all markets, including special projects, such as mystery shopping with high net worth individuals and large scale car clinics.
He is an active member of QRCA, Insights Association, ESOMAR, and represents the company within the ADM.
Stephan lives in Munich with his wife and two sons. His interests include skiing, hiking, cycling, and traveling. He is also a proud member of the voluntary fire brigade in his home town near Munich.
