For more than 15 years Kenny Thompson has managed key accounts in multiple verticals. At Schlesinger Group, he builds relationships with both qualitative and quantitative clients and supports our existing partnerships to improve their research outcomes.
Kenny understands that marketing without data is like driving blind. Every buyer has a choice and, for Kenny, winning their business requires a personal connection based on an understanding of their precise needs and expectations. He applies an uncompromising commitment to his client’s success.
Prior to joining Schlesinger Group, Kenny was a Business Development Director at the global online market research firm Dynata. He began his market research career at Research Now as a Business Development Manager, where he established partnerships with key Fortune 500 accounts, Kenny supported and managed these relationships at a director-level.
Kenny views selling as helping and thrives on problem-solving. He is a life-long learner, passionate about the pursuit of better ways to serve his clients. He’s studied the advanced “Principles of Market Research” course at the University of Georgia, which has become the research profession’s most highly regarded educational program. At the invitation of the program director, Kenny piloted the “Qualitative Market Research” course, also at the University of Georgia. In addition, Kenny mentors students in the Professional Sales Program at the University of Texas/Dallas and volunteers as a judge grading student role-play exams.
Kenny serves as the ‘Texas Ambassador’ for the Southwest Chapter of the Insights Association.
Kenny enjoys spending time with his wife and four dogs at their home in Frisco, Texas. His hobbies include fishing, photography, sports, fantasy football, and physical fitness. His wife is active in animal rescue. Together they foster and find homes for dogs in need.
